Two Versions of Eggnog Pie
Eggnog is a classic Christmas beverage. It’s creamy and golden and spicy and people either love it or hate it. I love it and found this vintage recipe for Eggnog Pie to be fabulous!
Two versions of the recipe are included here, so if you like your cream pies dense and creamy or whipped and fluffy, you’re in luck. This recipe is so simple, you’ll make one for every party you attend!
This first version is a dense cream pie, full of eggnog flavor. I found this recipe in a vintage cookbook. Jello had some classic cookbooks printed in the 1970s and 1980s. This particular one is from 1988.
The second recipe is one I modified from the original by adding whipped cream topping into the pudding mixture. This is a lighter pie, fluffy and especially creamy.
I topped both pies with a sprinkle of cinnamon and served with a dollop of whipped cream.
Make It a Meal:
This is dessert. Who needs a meal?! Some of my other favorite holiday desserts include: Indian Pudding, Oatmeal Pie, Christmas Cookies and Mocha Bundt Cake.

To keep this as simple as possible, I used a store bought graham cracker crust. If you have a great crust recipe that you love, I recommend using that.
