Strawberry Pink Lemonade
Spring time means yellow and pink and green to me. The flowers are blooming and the pastel wardrobes begin appearing in stores.
The weather begins to warm up and we start drinking a lot more cold beverages at my house. It is important to note that we always drink the hot coffee and tea, but we don’t break out the iced tea or lemonade until outside temperatures reach above 72 degrees.
Since we drink iced tea by the gallon, we often reach a saturation point yes, it is possible. And we start looking for other refreshing beverages. That is where the lemonade comes into play.
Lemonade is popular with folks of all ages, from little children to white haired grannies, you will find people willing to drink a glass of lemonade. The pretty yellow and pink colors seem to add to the coolness of the glass, too.
This recipe calls for added sliced strawberries, they add a beautiful red accent as well as a bit of sweetness. Served up in a tall frosty glass, this beverage is worthy of any baby or bridal shower as well as your family picnic.

Make it a Meal: Dress this beverage up for a party by adding 2 liters of lemon lime soda. If you really want to get crazy, add a cup or two of lemon sherbet!
Variations: If you prefer lemony yellow lemonade, substitute that beverage for the pink variety. If you want to make your lemonade from scratch, slice up about a dozen lemons and add them to the 2 quarts of water.
Lemonade will store well in a covered pitcher in the refrigerator for up to three days, if it’s not consumed in that time. If you have added the soda, you will want to drink it directly, as the fizz gets lost during storage.
If you are mixing your lemonade with soda for small groups, it might be a good idea to mix the drinks one glass at a time. Or, make several small pitchers and adding the soda just prior to serving.
Give this recipe a try at your next spring family gathering and see for yourself, the punch bowl will be empty in no time at all!
