Slow Cooked Beef Tips
Tender slow cooked beef tips take this home made, just like take out, meal from bland to delicious! The secret is slow cooking in a sauce full of flavor that is almost good enough to eat by itself.
Using pantry ingredients, you can can make this wonderful sauce in just a few minutes, then go about your day, knowing supper is cared for in the slow cooker.
Served over rice, with your favorite sides, you’ll toss that take out menu that’s stuck on the fridge into the trash. Who needs it anymore? Not you!
I’m not saying this is a traditional dish of any sort. It’s simply Apron Free Cooking traditional. That means it’s easy to make, only requires a few ingredients and can truly be called #ConvenienceCooking.
When I was raising two children who were involved in after school activities like tennis and chess club and church youth group and baseball and art club and depending on the season any other number of events…we needed to be able to eat a good meal, fast, many nights.
The slow cooker became my best friend. I was able to purchase inexpensive cuts of meat, toss them with a sauce and cook dinner while I was at work. Now that’s multitasking!

Since we often had a short period of time between arriving home and departing for the evening’s scheduled activity, I really appreciated having the hard work done for dinner. All I had to do was fix a veggie and we were set.
Slow Cooked Beef Tips Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Beef Tips
- 1 C Cola
- 1 C Soy Sauce
Recipe Directions:
- Place beef tips in slow cooker.
- Mix cola and soy sauce, pour over beef tips.
- Heat on low 6-8 hours.

Make It a Meal:
Serve slow cooked beef tips over rice. Add some vegetables on the side. Toss a salad for the base and place the beef tips on top the salad.
Variations:
If you are watching your sodium, select a low sodium soy sauce. If you don’t care for the flavor of soy sauce, you may substitute grape jelly, chili sauce or barbecue sauce.
