Simple Two Bit Fudge Recipe
One bit, two bits, three bits, a dollar – do you remember that playground song from your school days? We used to sing it while jumping rope and we didn’t even know what a bit was in this sense. For the record, a bit was an old fashioned term for a quarter, or twenty-five cents. Now the song adds up!
Two Bit Fudge is the best fudge you will ever find made with only two ingredients. I promise that is a big statement but the fudge lives up to it!
I have eaten my share of fudge over the years. I have also tried my hand at making fudge several times. I get tested recipe. I gather the finest ingredients. I follow the instructions. And something happens to my fudge that turns a dream candy into hunks of rock sugar.
I had decided a few years back, that I was not making fudge ever again, but instead was just going to pay my friend Shirley to make the fudge for me. Hers always turns out perfectly. Shirley still makes the best, most perfect fudge I have eaten but this recipe works pretty darn well for me.

Make it a Meal: Nobody’s kidding you, there is no way to make fudge count as a meal. But, I highly recommend adding it to your cookie plates. Along with Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Bars and Coconut White Chocolate No Bake Cookies

This treat also goes really well with the Homemade Hot Chocolate – If you can stand that much chocolatey richness!
Variations: Replace the chocolate chips with butterscotch or peanut butter chips. Trade the vanilla frosting for dark chocolate if you want to serve up death by chocolate fudge. Shake some sprinkles on top. Stir in some coconut flakes. Mix in some chopped nuts.
This easy recipe is one that will not fail. You will have sweet, soft fudge no matter what extras you stir into the mixture. So mix up several batches, you will be glad you did!
If you can resist eating the whole plate at one sitting, the fudge will last for two weeks in the refrigerator. Keep the plate covered so the fudge does not dry out.
