Pecan Topped Sweet Potato Pie
A classic holiday dessert, this pecan topped sweet potato pie is pretty easy to make and hands down a flavor winner.
This dish combines the creaminess of sweet potato pie with the crunchiness of pecan pie. All rolled up in one crust!
This recipe essentially has two steps. The first is to mix the sweet potato pie ingredients and start the baking.
The second step is to mix the pecan topping, add it to the pie and finish baking.
Not very complicated, at all. Watch this video to see how it all comes together.

I used a prepared graham cracker crust to simplify the process. If you have a homemade graham cracker crust recipe you love, use it!
Variations:
Instead of graham cracker crust, use a pastry crust. Change up the pecans for walnuts if you prefer. I’ve thought about adding some raisins with the pecans, but haven’t tried that yet.
Make It a Meal:
This pie makes a great ending to the Thanksgiving dinner. Serve it along with other traditional dishes: Green Bean Casserole, Corn Pudding, Loaded Sweet Potatoes, and Oven Roasted Carrots and Onions.
Of course, you can just make this pie to have for dessert any night. No need to wait for a big holiday dinner or family gathering!
