Mason Jar Brownies Mix
There’s nothing like a rich, decadent, chocolate brownie. Even better is receiving a Mason Jar Brownies mix that only requires the addition of butter and eggs for baking.
This Mason Jar brownie mix is super easy to put together. It’s so simple to bake, that anybody, no matter their cooking skill can prepare the dessert.
Made with pantry ingredients and a one quart Mason canning jar, you’ll want to make up a bunch of these pretty jars for gift giving.
Just think how happy you’ll make everybody on your list! They’ll love the Mason Jar Brownie mix when they open your gift and then again when they bake the brownies.
It really is that simple to make. Do you need a hostess gift? How about something for the Mom Squad at school?
I’ve learned that it’s a really good idea to place a baking sheet under your jar while you fill it. Even using a wide mouth funnel, I still had some overflow that would be difficult to clean up.
Since I had the rimmed baking sheet under the Mason jar, clean up was a breeze.
Wrap & Decorate the Jar
Find some ribbon, string, wrapping paper, cloth or other items to decorate your jar.
Since my brownie mix in a jar gift was intended for someone who loves a more country vibe, I kept it simple.
I used a piece of wax paper, cut with plenty of paper to cover the entire top of the jar. I crumpled it and then smoothed it out for a unique look.
To tie the paper to the jar and have a place to attach the instructions card, I just plain old fashioned kite string.
There was way too much waxed paper hanging over after I tied the string, so I trimmed the edges to give a neat appearance.
The layers of the Mason Jar Brownie mix look so nice with the simple packaging!
Variations:
Make your Mason Jar Brownie Dessert extra special by adding M&M candies, pecans, chocolate chips, walnuts or almonds just before baking.
When you serve your brownies, don’t forget to top with a scoop of ice cream and some chopped peanuts!
