Easy Crab Salad Sandwich Recipe
Looking for a light lunch? This easy crab salad sandwich will definitely hit the spot. When the weather warms up and it’s too hot for heavy, hearty meals, you’ll be glad you have this recipe on hand.
This easy crab salad sandwich recipe is so simple to make, you’ll wonder why you don’t have it on hand all the time.Made with easy to find imitation crab meat from the freezer case, this dish can only be improved if you have fresh crab!
I love the #ConvenienceCooking factor in the frozen imitation crab meat. All I have to do is let it thaw and then shred it to be ready to make this delicious recipe.
Since I live in north central Ohio, fresh crab is hard to come by and I often make due with ingredients I can easily obtain. However, that trip to Maryland, that time we had the fresh crab right off the boat… that’s enough to make a person want to move to Chesapeake Bay.
Talk about a dream … a house on the bay, with a dock for the boat, fresh seafood all the time and a salty breeze while you dine on the deck. Are you with me?
If you’re already living that dream, do you want to adopt me?
Make It a Meal:
Some of my other favorite sandwiches are Tuna Melt, Ham Salad and Taco Sloppy Joes. Add some Pea and Peanut Salad alongside your sandwich and use the extra crab to make this great dip!

Mayonnaise or Salad Dressing? That’s a debate that is as old as time. Some families argue Helman’s vs Miracle Whip as hotly as they do politics.
I’m going to weigh in by saying, I prefer mayonnaise in some recipes and salad dressing others. For this recipe, I used salad dressing because I like the extra sweetness the dressing brings to the mix.
My recommendation is that you use the condiment that best suits your palate.
Served with some crunchy dill pickles, this sandwich is a nice contrast in creamy, crunchy, sweet and salty.
Serve this easy crab salad sandwich with a croissant, bagel, Kaiser roll, wheat bread or even English muffins.

Its been a while since I made something with crab meat. This is such a simple recipe and uses few ingredients too. I like the use of celery and the seeds.
Roxana, the celery gives just a bit of zing and lots of crunch. You’ll love it.

I wish crab meat was easier to find—or the coast wasn’t an hour away because I would love this sandwich on a warm afternoon1
Rae, funny how wishes are different person to person … I’m wishing the coast was only an hour away! Then we’d meet for sandwiches.
Such a simple and easy recipe to follow! A delight for crab lovers.
Sometimes I find the simplest recipes pack the most flavor, don’t you think?
This is a lot like a lobster roll so if you are a lover of that you will love this too! 5 star will definitely be making again. So easy!
Shucks, I don’t eat crab but will be pinning this to share with my sister. Thanks for sharing.
I know the miracle whip vs Mayo is a hot decisive theme but I’ve found the perfect solution !!! Kewpie mayonnaise (a Japanese mayo that has tons of flavor and is a little sweeter) not only is it a great tasting mayo but the way it’s made is amazing, every part of the egg is used, the shells are used for fertilizer that is used to grow the feed the chickens eat that lay the eggs used in the mayo ! Talk about circle of life ! Anyway this mayo will make your sandwiches tastier and less divisive. It can be found in most Asian stores or the Wee Asian ingredients website or I hate to say it Amazon.com.
Oh wow! There’s a game changer for sure! Thanks for sharing the tip!
