Coconut Raisin Mason Jar Cookies
These coconut raisin Mason jar cookies are going to be the talk of the town! Not only is the presentation so pretty in that jar with a ribbon on it, but the cookies taste great when baked!
All the dry ingredients are layered in a one quart Mason jar. All the receiver needs to do is add a few perishable ingredients, mix and bake.
The resulting cookie has all that homemade flavor, with the ease of a packaged mix. That’s because you packaged up that mix with love and quality ingredients!
Oats, raisins, and coconut provide the chewy sweetness that we all love in a cookie. Put the coffee on, you’re going to be eating a lot of cookies.
Coconut Raisin Mason Jar Cookies will keep on the shelf for several months as long as the jar is tightly sealed against moisture.
Prepared cookies will keep in an airtight container for up to a week on the counter. They also freeze for up to two months. That makes them a great bake-ahead for Christmas cookie plate additions.
Variations:
The dark raisins are the prettiest in the jar for these cookies. However, you could use the light ones … or replace them with dried cranberries or cherries.
Trust me, these cookies work equally well as drops cookies or bar cookies. The decision is yours. I find bar cookies are best when I’m in a hurry to bake or need to travel with the finished product.
To make as a bar cookie:
- Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper.
- Spread the cookie dough as evenly as possible on the parchment paper.
- Dough is very sticky so you might need to use a spatula and your spoon.
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes, until toothpick inserted to center of cookie comes out clean.

Ingredients:
Flour, coconut flakes, brown sugar, quick cook oats, dark raisins, baking soda and baking powder are the dry ingredients that you layer into a one quart Mason jar.
To prepare, add: butter, egg and vanilla.

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup Flour
- 1 1/4 cup Coconut flakes
- 3/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Quick cook oats
- 1/2 cup Raisins dark
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Baking powder
To bake, add:
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Instructions
Create layers in a one quart Mason jar in the following order:

Baking powder

Baking soda
-
Oats
-
Brown sugar
-
Sugar
-
Coconut
-
Raisins
-
Close tightly with jar lid. Decorate with some ribbon.
To bake cookies:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pour cookie mix from jar into large mixing bowl. Stir to blend.

In a small bowl, beat egg, butter and vanilla.

Add egg mixture to dry ingredients.

Mix well, until all powder is combined.

Drop by spoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
