Chocolate Dipped Pretzels
These simple chocolate dipped pretzels are easy to make and delicious to eat. Dress them up for the holidays with seasonal sprinkles and you’ll be the hit of the town!
Easy enough to make with the kids, these treats are a crowd pleaser!
Picking pretty conversation heart colored sprinkles made these pretzels a great Valentine’s Day party treat.
The larger sprinkles and dots worked so much better than the colored sugar type of decoration. I found that the sugar crystals just disappeared on the chocolate. There are plenty of the larger candy decorations, though, and now I have an excuse to try them all!
My family loves this treat. We make chocolate covered pretzels for all seasons. We mix it up by using differently shaped pretzels, different chocolates and a variety of coatings.
Make It a Meal:
This isn’t a meal. Although, you probably could fill up on them, they are that good! These pretzel bits are perfect with a tall glass of milk or hot cup of coffee.
Variations:
You can use dark, semi-sweet, milk or white chocolate chips. I used semi-sweet. Butterscotch chips work well too. Add some crushed nuts or shredded coconut to your coating.
If you really want to live on the edge, instead of sprinkles, use coarse ground salt – that would be tops on the butterscotch dipped pretzels. All kinds of salted caramel flavors there!
Packaged up in a small Mason jar or plastic bag with a pretty bow these make a nice gift. If you’re planning to take these to the class Valentine party, I would put them in a covered container and stand back when the lid comes off – kids love chocolate and sprinkles!
That’s probably good advice if you’re taking these to the office, also. Co-workers are like kids when it comes to sprinkles!
If you like this, share it with your friends!
