Cheese Danish ~ Recipe
There’s nothing like a cheese danish and a cup of hot coffee to start your weekend morning of to the best possible. This easy cheese danish recipe can be made any day of the week, though, so you don’t have to wait until the weekend!
Made with only three ingredients, this is one of the fastest and easiest recipes you’ll tackle this month. You’ll be glad you made it … and it won’t be long before you make a second round.
I love this recipe because it uses #ConvenienceCooking ingredients. Readers who are frequent visitors to Apron Free Cooking know that when I was raising two kids as a single mom (working a full time job, attending college full time and juggling the kids extra curricular activities) I needed recipes that were good for you, but didn’t take forever to make.
This is one of those classic recipes. Although, I’ll admit the “good for you” part of my requirements is leaning more on the “tastes good” side for this recipe.
Pour yourself a cup of your favorite coffee or tea, serve up a slice of this cheese danish and relax. This is a perfect coffee break snack. You’ll probably have to limit yourself. I know it was really hard to stop helping myself to another serving, then another, and another.
I’d suggest that you might want to do the serving in the kitchen, then take your cheese danish and coffee to the deck or sun room for snacking. Besides, what’s better than sitting in your favorite chair with a great snack!
I know this recipe is delicious, because my husband can finish off a 9 x 9 pan of this danish in one sitting. That’s strong evidence from a man who is the farthest thing from a foodie as you’ve ever met. His idea of a good meal generally is one that fuels him for the next few hours.
Make It a Meal:
Perfect for snacking and weekend brunches, you can serve this cheese danish alongside cherry-chocolate pancakes, peach coffee cake, fruit pizza, sausage breakfast casserole and raspberry shortcakes.
