Cappuccino Coffee Bread
When it’s time for your coffee break, you want something to snack on with your beverage. This cappuccino coffee bread is the perfect combination of sweet and flavorful.
If you can bake banana bread, you can make this delicious snack loaf. It’s not only good for an afternoon pick-me-up, it works wonderfully as breakfast also!
I love the addition of chocolate chips in the bread, which has a mild coffee flavor. I know when you hear the word “cappuccino”, you think “super strong coffee”. In real life, that’s what espresso is. Cappuccino is kind of the middle ground between regular coffee and espresso.
I topped my bread with a cinnamon-sugar mixture to give it a bakery feel. That extra spice kick added so much to each bite!
I made this cappuccino coffee bread in a standard 9×5 loaf pan. However, you could bake the batter in muffin tins or small loaf pans. If you want to give this bread as gifts, then the smaller sized items are easy to package up. Often I’ll make whole mountains of muffins, wrap them individually and freeze for later. That’s a great way to have fresh baked goods when summer temperatures make turning on an oven unlikely.
During the winter months, I like baking and do so more often than in the summer. I think it has to do with the hunker down and hibernate mindset. It’s also a nice way to warm up the kitchen – then you get to eat the yummy baked goods!
Make It a Meal:
I love quick breads like this. I’ve made a few others: banana bread, peach coffee cake, mocha chocolate cake, apple danish and pumpkin spice pull apart bread.

In Italy, we like to dip something in our cappuccino especially in the morning. This bread sounds perfect for that. Chocolate and coffee is the best combination there is
Laura,
This is so much softer than biscotti, but would serve the same purpose.
I love every single thing about this bread!!! I wish I had some right now with my coffee!
Pam, it’s the best! And truth be told, it’s so easy to make, I’m considering having it daily!
Oh man!! I haven’t had a good coffee bread or snack bread in a long time. This is definitely overdue. Making me DROOL Noel!
Get thee to a kitchen, Kristy! Cure the drooling and craving by mixing up a loaf!
Cut me off a slice please. This would be the perfect afternoon pick me up.
Come on over Dannii!! LOL it’s a great afternoon snack, morning coffee break, late night before bed snack … you name it!
This sounds so delicious…and like something that wouldn’t last very long in my house
Traci, You’re right, it doesn’t last long around the house! I’m not sure this loaf lasted a full 24 hours and there’s just the husband and I at home!
My husband loves a good cup of cappuccino and so it would be nice
to treat him to one every morning. It’s all about the foam!
Do you add the melted butter to the egg & milk? And then beat til frothy….or do you add the melted butter to the wet/dry mixture seperately?
Marilyn,
Thanks for asking, I notice I didn’t make that clear. I’ll update the recipe.
You should add it to the dry mixture when you add the egg/milk separately.
Good catch!
Noel
Loved it…really easy to make and tastes great. I didn’t tell my husband, who hates coffee, that it had coffee in it…he had no idea and said it was really good. I did add a little cinnamon to the batter also.
I’m so glad you and your husband loved it!
