Cappuccino Coffee Bread
When it’s time for your coffee break, you want something to snack on with your beverage. This cappuccino coffee bread is the perfect combination of sweet and flavorful.
If you can bake banana bread, you can make this delicious snack loaf. It’s not only good for an afternoon pick-me-up, it works wonderfully as breakfast also!
I love the addition of chocolate chips in the bread, which has a mild coffee flavor. I know when you hear the word “cappuccino”, you think “super strong coffee”. In real life, that’s what espresso is. Cappuccino is kind of the middle ground between regular coffee and espresso.
I topped my bread with a cinnamon-sugar mixture to give it a bakery feel. That extra spice kick added so much to each bite!
I made this cappuccino coffee bread in a standard 9×5 loaf pan. However, you could bake the batter in muffin tins or small loaf pans. If you want to give this bread as gifts, then the smaller sized items are easy to package up. Often I’ll make whole mountains of muffins, wrap them individually and freeze for later. That’s a great way to have fresh baked goods when summer temperatures make turning on an oven unlikely.
During the winter months, I like baking and do so more often than in the summer. I think it has to do with the hunker down and hibernate mindset. It’s also a nice way to warm up the kitchen – then you get to eat the yummy baked goods!
Make It a Meal:
I love quick breads like this. I’ve made a few others: banana bread, peach coffee cake, mocha chocolate cake, apple danish and pumpkin spice pull apart bread.
