Lemon Benefits
Many people believe in the power of drinking lemon water. My grandmother often placed a slice of lemon in a tea cup and covered it in boiling water.
Common uses for lemons include: lowering blood pressure, maintain healthy complexion, fight cancer, aid digestion and freshen breath.
Lavender Benefits
Traditional benefits of lavender that most people know about – calming and sedative. Think how many times you’ve used lavender lotion at bedtime to help you sleep!
Other benefits include: treating fungal infections, healing minor burns, and treating anxiety – all medically proven.
Some traditional beliefs and uses of lavender: easing menstrual discomfort, fighting depression, and calming nausea. These have not been medically proven, but anecdotal evidence supports the claims.
Honey Caution
If you are planning to serve this lavender lemonade to children under the age of three, you’ll want to replace the honey with another sweetener.
Studies have shown that young toddlers shouldn’t have honey in their diets. I don’t want the kiddos getting sick, so please, use plain white sugar to taste. Or leave out the sweetener all-together.
