Mason Jar Pumpkin Spice Latte Mix
When fall weather rolls around, there’s no better gift than Mason Jar pumpkin spice latte mix. This gift is easy to make. Fun to give and wonderful to receive.
A hot mug of pumpkin spice latte warms your hands when you snuggle up to the cup and heats your insides as you sip on the delicious beverage. Best of all, this Mason Jar pumpkin spice latte mix is simple enough that anybody can put it together.
So many people love the seasonal flavor in the #PSL coffee from specialty coffee shops big and small, myself included. I mean, it’s one of the reasons we look forward to fall weather, right?!
Other reasons include: sweaters, boots, pretty scarves, bonfires and chili cook off contests. There’s also the beautiful leaves, football games and Halloween decor.
I’ve spent more than my share of money on pumpkin spice lattes. So much so that I decided I better find a more economical way to indulge my cravings.
Here’s a recipe the kids can put together. They may just need some help with measuring out the ingredients, depending on their age and experience.
In years past, I made a homemade hot cocoa mix, that is delicious and super rich. After a bit of testing, I arrived at the recipe below. This Mason jar pumpkin spice latte mix is so close to the fancy shop lattes!
Now I can satisfy my cravings for just a few pennies – any time I want! All I have to do is scoop some of the mix into my cup and add hot water!
I think this would make a great gift for your kids’ teachers, the girls in the book club or as Halloween treats for the folks at the office.
Variations:
Replace the pumpkin pie spice with cinnamon and cocoa to make a Mexican coffee. Crush up some peppermint candies to make a peppermint coffee.
If you’re not a French vanilla fan, or if you are unable to get some powdered creamer in that flavor, you can substitute Hazelnut or even plain creamer.
Make It a Meal:
Round out your coffee break by adding one of these treats to your Mason jar pumpkin spice latte drink: Wacky Cake, Banana Bread, Tea Muffins, Coffee Bread or Coffee Glazed Nuts.

The real beauty of this recipe is how shelf stable it is. Dry ingredients like these don’t spoil overnight and don’t require refrigeration. Although, you may never find out how long the jar will last on your shelf.
You’ll have it consumed in no time flat! It’s irresistible!

This is a great idea and so much less expensive the stopping at the coffee shops every morning! These would also make great gifts!!
I’ve saved a few pennies since I started making this and keeping a jar on my counter!
I’ve made similar and the pumpkin spice turns out chalking and grainy in the drinks. Does this one blend well?
Joann, a little bit of spice drops to the bottom of the mug. I find using boiling water helps minimize the problem.
What are spice drops?
Apologies, that wasn’t clear. What I meant to say was some of the spices end up as residue in the bottom of the cup. However using really hot / boiling water dissolves most of the spice which minimizes the residue amount.
sorry also, I found some spice drops that are liquid and some are gummy drops when I googled it. :^D I just hate that chalky spice that lingers in the beverages.
I was trying to find a homemade pumpkin spice mix came across this one , Pumpkin spice flavor has become so Famous and the price has has gone crazy I can’t wait to try this. I love pumpkin spice all year. Thank you
You’re welcome! It’s one of the crazy things about our world today … the price of pumpkin spice mixes. I love this homemade version.
Hi! This looks great and thank you for sharing this recipe. Have you tried it with regular powdered creamer? The stores near me don’t seem to have vanilla flavored right now. Wondering if regular would work, or if I’d need to adjust the recipe? Thanks!
Heidi,
Regular creamer will work just fine. The flavor won’t be quite as rich, but still delicious!
Thank you so much!
Can I make this completely mixed and not layered?
You sure can!
