Brown Sugar and Garlic Chicken Recipe
I found an amazing looking recipe the other day and pinned it. It was for Baked Brown Sugar and Garlic Chicken. The simple recipe called for ingredients which I happened to have on hand.
So, instead of just looking at the Pinterest board and drooling on my keyboard. I went to the kitchen and got busy following the recipe. The first step was to roast some garlic … you know the whole house smelled wonderful!
Ingredients
4 TB oil
2 TB minced garlic ( I used 4 TB)
4 TB brown sugar
4 chicken breasts
Directions:
Preheat oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Roast the garlic in the oil for 3 minutes. Mix in the brown sugar. Spread the garlic sauce evenly over thawed chicken breasts. Bake at 500 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes.
I spread the sauce over the chicken in a casserole dish and baked it. My husband came into the kitchen while the dish was in the oven asking “What smells so good?” His nose had led him away from his computer … and that’s an accomplishment!
I served the chicken with cornbread stuffing and a vegetable mix of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. I think a rice medley would go really well also. While we were eating, my husband kept saying things like, “This is really tasty.” “What a good flavor this has.” “Wow, this is really good.”
High praise from a man who generally doesn’t get excited about food! This chicken is going into the “Make it Again” list!!
